At Internet Team we used Apache with PHP for a while and he didn't see what Caudium could be bring us. One day we heard of Caudium and test it. Now we don't imagine to switch back. At the beginning, the performance of Pike versus PHP was a very good point, especially on dynamic image generation. Later, we enjoy the possibility to access server core code easily and very good sockets handling (this allow us to handle a streaming server on the same server than Caudium).
